The officers and directors of the Wabash Valley Music Association are pleased to announce our 2008-2009 Series. We know you will join in our excitement for having these artists in Wabash.   All performances will be held in the Ford Theater at the Honeywell Memorial Center, Wabash, Indiana.
 

September 7, 2008 (Sunday at 6:00 p.m.)
Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Featuring Alessio Bax, Pianist

 

Join us as Conductor Mario Venzago and the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra open our 52nd season. Featured during this performance will be Sergei Rachmaninoff's beautiful, melodic Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini.

"Chicago"


 

This sultry and alluring Broadway musical is based on the 1926 play by the same name. In 2002, "Chicago" took to the big screen, winning six Oscars and leading to the rebirth of the musical.

"A Christmas Carol"


The Wabash Area Community Theater is proud to present the Broadway version of this Charles Dickens' favorite. The production has music and lyrics by Alan Menken and Lynn Ahrens. For the third year we welcome the Wabash Area Community Theater as they present their opening night as part of our series! Come and enjoy a special combination of local talent and a wonderful musical.

Tommy Tune and the Manhattan Rhythm Kings

The nine-time Tony Award-winning director/choreographer/dancer and star is the quintessential Broadway song-and-dance man. Additionally, he has won The National Medal of Arts, eight Drama Desk Awards, two Obie Awards, two Astair Awards and the American Dance Award. Teaming up with the celebrated Manhattan Rhythm Kings this very talented singer/dancer will have something for everyone to enjoy.
